Athens City Primary PreK and Kindergarten Registration for 2025-2026 School Year is Friday, April 4. It will be from 8:30-4:30. Students enrolling in PreK must be 4 years old by August 15, 2025. Students enrolling in Kindergarten must be 5 years old by August 15, 2025. For more information, please call 423-745-3862.


The 2025 National School Breakfast Week is March 3-7. The campaign theme, “Clue In to School Breakfast,” reminds the entire school community that school breakfast provides a healthy start to the day for students. Breakfast is a crucial factor in helping students stay energized and focused.
Athens City Schools provides nutritious and delicious choices for breakfast. We encourage all our students to start the day with a nutritious breakfast. All students receive no cost breakfast and lunch at Athens City Schools.


To celebrate Read Across America Week, K-Kids will be collecting books all week for Let’s Read 20 to restock the colorful bus. Students may bring in new or gently used books to place in the bins throughout the school.
