Mr. Chris Adams Named All Tennessee School Board Award Recipient

 

Nashville, Tennessee - During its Annual Convention, the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) named five outstanding school board members to the All Tennessee School Board. Members of the board were selected by a panel of judges. The following are the criteria for this award:

 

- Must have achieved Level IV in the TSBA Boardsmanship award program
- Quality of service with emphasis on the previous 12 months
- Participation in board development activities with emphasis on the previous 12 months
- Specific accomplishments of the local board of education during the nominee’s term on the board
- Leadership activities at the local, regional, or state level


 

Chris Adams, Athens 

Chris has served on his board for 16 years, serving as the Chairman since 2022, and is a Level V Master school board member. He currently serves on the marketing committee and tuition committee, and he chaired the Director of School search committee in 2021. While on the board, he has helped successfully consolidate 4 school buildings to construct a new, state of the art, Pre-K – 5th grade school building. His school system continues to exceed the state average in math and reading, and the board continues to maintain its Board of Distinction status.
