2024: ACS hosted the Southeast Fall District Meeting at Athens City Intermediate School 9/5/24. Emily Forrest received Level 1 Boardsmanship Award.

2017: TSBA School Board of Distinction Award for 2017-2019

2017: Mike Bevins completed Level 5 in the Tennessee School Boards Association Boardsmanship Program.

2016: Chris Adams completed Level 5 in the Tennessee School Boards Association Boardsmanship Program.

2016: Chris Liner and Dr. Amy Sullins completed Level 4 in the Tennessee School Boards Association Boardsmanship Program.

2013: Named a Board of Distinction by the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA)
